What you don't know about alcohol
I'm amazed at the number of folks that think alcohol is a low calorie buzz! Every serving of alcohol, (1 ounce) is that measure, contains 28 grams of alcohol. Alcohol has 7 calories per gram. However, you'll never see that on the label. It's not regulated by the FDA. Instead, it's government control agency is ATFE. They could care less if you are trying to eat sensibly and reduce your carbohydrate calorie intake. They just want the taxes!
Add 196 calories to the calorie count of your drink and you'll have a true count! Then you actually can control it.
And if its a multi liquor drink, watch out!
